Mitch and Janis Winehouse showed up at the unveiling of Amy's wax figure at Madame Tussauds in London last summer.
Amy Winehouse's parents have opened up about
her sudden death yesterday, and tragically enough, her mom Janis admits that she did seem out of it on Friday. She did however say that their last encounter was a nice one, with Amy's last ever words to her being: "I love you, mom". Janis recalls, “They are the words I will always treasure and always remember Amy by… She seemed out of it (on Friday). But her passing so suddenly still hasn’t hit me.” Amy's dad Mitch also spoke out, describing his sorrow: "This isn’t real. I’m completely devastated. I’m coming home. I have to be with Amy. I can’t crack up (lose control of his emotions) for her sake. My family need me." Our condolences go out to her parents above all, who obviously dearly loved their little girl.
